We took the roads along the Caucasus today, a marvellous ride over small hills, with little traffic and stupendous views. The weather was great, only the air was a little cold. Spring is around the corner, some flowers are already in bloom and the leaves of the trees are about to burst out. It is great to ride small roads again, paved or even dirt tracks. In Turkey I hadn't done enough of them. Small roads are less invasive tom the rural landscapes and give the feeling to cross intact environments, even though the settlements along the roads are sometimes never ending and this triangle between southern and northern mountains seems to be rather densly populated.
We pitched the tent next to a river, its noise will let me fall in a comfortable deep sleep, I'm sure.
