Day 208: Borjomi-Aspindza

The rain turned into snowfall during the night, so when we got up in the morning it looked like someone poured powder-suggar over the mountains. The sun grew stronger the last days and it managed to heat the earth and the air quickly once it shone into the valley. As the day went on we peeled ourselves out of one layer of clothes after another. The road was in perfect condition an there was hardly any traffic, on top of that there was no wind. The landscape was quite nice, the dominant color beeing brown from the earth, but also the river and the trees were in close of the light spectrum. Some remaining snow on the higher mountains (not intimidating anymore) was building the contrast and made the link to the blue sky via the clouds that its created by own evaporation.
In the late afternoon we found a small swing bridge to cross the river and get some distance to then road. On the other side we made our camp. Enjoying the rest of then afternoons sun I lay down in the grass wearing only a t-shirt in that valley 1000m above sea level. it was the first time this year I could do that and it was pure happiness.
